This is the "everything in one look" station: a large colour console shows indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, a six-icon 24-hour forecast, barometer, moon phase, calendar and alarm together, with the outdoor sensor reaching up to 60 m. A detail that sets it apart is the USB port on the back, so the console doubles as a phone or tablet charger on a bedside table or desk — and it runs on the included mains adapter or on AA batteries.

Kalawen 9-in-1 Colour Weather Station

Most home weather stations make you page through screens to see everything. The Kalawen puts nine readings on one large colour console at the same time — indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, a six-icon forecast for the next 24 hours, a barometer, the moon phase, the date and an alarm — so a single glance from across the kitchen tells you what to wear and whether to bring a coat. The colour panel groups the numbers clearly rather than crowding them, and the brightness adjusts to suit the room.

Its forecast is its own, not a feed off the internet. The station tracks the barometric pressure trend from its built-in sensor and the temperature and humidity from the wireless outdoor unit, then predicts the coming day for exactly where you live. The outdoor sensor talks to the console wirelessly from up to 60 metres away, so it can sit in the garden, on a shaded north-facing wall or by the back door while the display stays indoors.

The touch that makes it genuinely useful by a bed or on a desk is the USB port on the back: plug in a phone or tablet and the station earns its footprint as a charger too. Power it from the included mains adapter and the screen stays on permanently; drop in AA cells instead and you can move it around the house, with the screen waking on a touch to save the batteries. In plain black metal it suits a modern kitchen or hallway.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the forecast come from the internet?

No — and that's the point. The station works out its own 24-hour forecast from the barometric pressure trend and the temperature and humidity its sensors read where you are, so it reflects your exact location rather than a regional feed. It needs no WiFi, app or account.

What's the USB port for?

It's a charging output on the back of the console. Plug in a phone or tablet and the station doubles as a bedside or desk charger, which is handy given it's already plugged into the mains for the always-on screen.

How far can the outdoor sensor be from the display?

Up to about 60 metres in the open. Walls and metal shorten that, so if the reading drops out, move the sensor closer or higher, and keep it out of direct sun so the outdoor temperature stays accurate.

Can it run without being plugged in?

Yes. Use three AA batteries and place it anywhere; on battery power the screen sleeps and wakes at a touch to save charge. On the included mains adapter the colour screen stays on continuously.

How long does delivery take?

Your delivery estimate for your address is shown at checkout before you pay. Delivery is free UK-wide on orders over £30, with a flat £3.99 charge under that.

Kalawen 9-in-1: one colour screen for the whole day

3 min read Skygauge

The Kalawen earns its place by showing the whole day at once; a little care with siting makes those nine readings trustworthy.

Site the sensor in the shade

Fix the outdoor sensor on a north-facing or shaded wall, out of direct sun and driving rain. Sun on the sensor inflates the outdoor temperature; shade gives you the real air reading, and keeps the forecast honest.

Let the barometer settle

The 24-hour forecast comes from the pressure trend, so give it a few hours — ideally overnight — to gather a baseline before you judge it. After that it reflects your exact spot, not a regional bulletin.

Decide mains or battery

For a permanent kitchen or hallway display, use the included adapter so the colour screen stays on and the USB port is live for charging. If you'd rather move it around, fit AA cells and the screen will wake at a touch.
