The complete guide
Kalawen 9-in-1: one colour screen for the whole day
The Kalawen earns its place by showing the whole day at once; a little care with siting makes those nine readings trustworthy.
Site the sensor in the shade
Fix the outdoor sensor on a north-facing or shaded wall, out of direct sun and driving rain. Sun on the sensor inflates the outdoor temperature; shade gives you the real air reading, and keeps the forecast honest.
Let the barometer settle
The 24-hour forecast comes from the pressure trend, so give it a few hours — ideally overnight — to gather a baseline before you judge it. After that it reflects your exact spot, not a regional bulletin.
Decide mains or battery
For a permanent kitchen or hallway display, use the included adapter so the colour screen stays on and the USB port is live for charging. If you'd rather move it around, fit AA cells and the screen will wake at a touch.
